For agency people, guidance counselors, SROs, and health and human service professionals. Each month we have a different training that is relevant to what is happening in the community.
The Mental Wellness Committee is working on social-emotional learning activities and trainings for the youth of Fall River.
Meets the fourth Monday of the month
The coalition works on suicide prevention, self-harm, stigma, etc.
Meets the first Monday of every other month (Jan., Mar., May, July, Sept., & Nov.)
This coalition is 20-40 agencies coming together to share information and learn about all the resources that are available throughout our community. Great sharing, usually there is a speaker from some new community program or resource.
Meets second Friday of the Month
This is the collaborative coalition in town working on health, fitness, nutrition, well-being, mental health, etc.
Meets the 2nd Wednesday of the Month from October – May
These meetings/trainings are discussions for adults and youth about discrimination and bias.
2 CEUs Awarded: This program has been approved for 2 Social Work Continuing Education hours for relicensure, in accordance with 258 CMR. Collaborative of NASW and the Boston College and Simmons of Social Work.
**FREE CATERED LUNCH**
The Father and Family Network is a statewide networking and training group for professionals who work with fathers. The group helps professionals enhance skills, learn new strategies for engaging fathers, and coordinate services across the state.
Meets the third Wednesday of the Month
This coalition works with homeless families, sheltered families, people on the cusp of poverty, people vulnerable for eviction and now with the recent arrivals from Puerto Rico.
