Lunch and Learn Issue Briefing: Farm-to-School/Food Literacy

The Southcoast Food Policy Council (SFPC), a program of the Marion Institute, invites you to a powerful series of virtual legislative briefings designed to inform, inspire, and empower. These sessions focus on priority food system bills that address real challenges—focusing on key food system bills — tackling food insecurity, nutrition education, and equity in farming.

In this briefing, we will review SFPC legislative priorities, discuss our experiences with Farm to School and food literacy, identify some challenges in schools where the solutions lie in passing these bills. We will review each bill’s history, where we are in the process, and have the chance to take instant action to contact our state legislators to support these bills.
