Going from Father Engagement to Father Equality, Inclusion, and Equity

Father Engagement has become the standard for many organizations, but to bring fathers fully to the table and truly include them in the process, social workers must move beyond fatherhood engagement to father equality, inclusion, and ultimately equity for all fathers. This training re-imagines equity from a fatherhood lens and discusses what is needed to give fathers the equity they deserve.

Mr. Muhammad will encourage participants to not only engage fathers deeply but also address fathers receiving equal services to mothers, inclusion of fathers at all levels of treatment and services, and ultimately identifying what fathers need to be successful. This is an interactive presentation; feedback, questions, and alternative ideas are welcomed.

Presented by Abdul-Rahmaan I. Muhammad, Executive Director and Founder of My People Clinical Services. Founded on March 5, 2005, My People Clinical Services offers a wide array of both therapeutic and non-therapeutic, supports, services, and programs. He is also one of the Tri Chairs of the Statewide Fatherhood Engagement Leadership Team.
