What is the Family Foundations Project?
The Family Foundations Project supports foster, kinship, adoptive, and other caregiving families by providing essential items that promote children's safety, comfort, and well-being. Through the generosity of our community and the strength of our partnerships, we help ensure every child has access to the essentials they need to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. Together, we strengthen families and build the foundation for every child to experience security, support, and a true sense of belonging.
Family Foundations serves families throughout Greater Fall River by referral and appointment, allowing us to work individually with caregivers to help meet the needs of the children in their care. How You Can Help
The Family Foundations Project relies on the generosity of individuals, civic organizations, and foundation grants. Funds and in-kind donations are tax deductible as a contribution to a 501c3 through our fiscal partnership with Greater Fall River RE-Creation.

History
The Family Foundations Project was created to help fill a gap for foster, kinship, and adoptive families who may need essential items to provide a safe, comfortable, and secure environment for the child(ren) in their care. Families can sometimes find themselves needing these items with little notice, and the cost and availability of everything from bedding and baby safety equipment to household safety supplies can quickly become a challenge.
Developed as a sister initiative to our Home Project, Family Foundations builds on United Neighbors’ commitment to connecting community generosity with families who need a little extra support. New and gently loved items donated by community members and partners help ensure children have access to the essentials they need to feel safe, comfortable, cared for, and a true sense of belonging.
