Pathways to Pages: A Story Walk Adventure in the Flint Neighborhood

Looking for a fun, free, and family-friendly activity right in your neighborhood? Come explore Pathways to Pages—a new interactive Story Walk experience happening at Father Travassos Park and Kathy Assad Park in the Flint neighborhood of Fall River!
Starting August 1, 2025, families are invited to walk through the park and read a children’s story—one page at a time—mounted along the fence line at kid-height. Each story includes movement prompts that encourage kids to hop, stretch, spin, or tiptoe to the next page, turning reading into a full-body adventure!
But that’s not all! Each park will also feature:
🌱 Community garden beds where kids can learn about plants and nature
📚 Little Free Libraries filled with free books to take home*
🪧 Fun signs and directions to guide your journey and keep everyone moving*
Stories will change every month, so you can come back again and again for a new tale, a new adventure, and new reasons to read together outside.
Perfect for:
Families with children of all ages
Caregivers, grandparents, neighbors, and book lovers
Anyone looking to enjoy the park, move a little, and make special memories
